The Winners and Finalists group is composed of a remarkable assembly of women who were either finalists or winners within their categories at the Women in Agribusiness Awards from several African countries. Currently, our membership base comprises 80 women who operate within various sectors of the Agri Business Value Chain.
Our group strongly believes in the importance of providing our members with relevant and impactful training opportunities, which is why we organize monthly capacity-building and information-sharing events named the W&F Monthly Series. These events aim to address topics tailored to meet the needs of our members.
Our Country Leads Initiative is an upcoming program that will bring together women who work in agribusiness in order to provide them with skills acquisition and capacity building programs/conferences. This program will host 100 women from different countries who will receive training, mentoring, and coaching on funding opportunity applications and capacity building as agribusiness professionals. Additionally, participants will learn from various thought leaders in the industry. Part of the program includes mentoring women to know how to apply for various Agri women-targeted programs, such as Ignite, and how to nominate themselves to win their categories in the Women in Agribusiness Awards. This event will last for one day, and will occur in our member countries, with the hope of impacting at least 1000 women across the board.
